La La bio:

La La doesn’t really do sitting still.

Born and raised in Scotland, Lauren Andrew — aka La La — cut her teeth at Edinburgh’s FLY Club and Glasgow’s Sub Club before taking things international in 2019. Since then, she’s clocked up serious mileage, playing everywhere from Fabric in London to Circoloco in Ibiza, Lost Sundays in Sydney and Awakenings in Amsterdam, alongside headline shows of her own in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Dublin.

The sound? Broad, but never vague. Peak-time techno, proper house, weird bits in between — La La’s sets pull from a decade-plus of digging, playing and generally being far too deep in dance music. Her debut mixtape, Give Yourself A Try, landed in 2023 via her own Brand New Records imprint: ten tracks that pretty neatly explain why putting her in one box was never going to work.

And then there are the labels. Brand New Records started life with a simple mission: put Scottish artists front and centre. Its sister imprint, Sound As, opened the door wider, championing great dance music regardless of postcode or genre, with the likes of Spencer Parker and Man Power.

Away from the decks, La La has become a familiar voice on Rinse FM, Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab and BBC Radio 1.
